17 October 2006, Microsoft Online
Get set for Microsoft’s most momentous launch in five years as it delivers a powerful productivity platform combining Windows® Vista™, Microsoft® Office® 2007, and Microsoft® Exchange Server 2007, as part of its promise to help equip businesses to be ‘people-ready’.
The Launch of Office 2007, Windows Vista, and Exchange Server 2007, or LOVE, will offer an alluring promise to revolutionize the entire business computing experience. The three products, that work better together, will make their global debut in January 2007.
“This is the first time in over a decade that we are delivering so much innovation to businesses at one go,” said Microsoft Malaysia’s director of business marketing, Ananth Lazarus. “2007 will be all about LOVE as it drives significant and positive changes in the workplace, as well as offers numerous opportunities for our customers, partners and the entire industry.”
“As a business productivity platform, Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007 pull together a slew of exciting new features and enhancements to empower people – the most vital asset of any business – to dramatically enhance their productivity with innovative tools to access critical information, communicate and work together more effectively than ever before. This marks a significant milestone in our promise to help companies be ‘people-ready’,” Ananth added.
Although yet to be launched, Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007 are already making waves in Malaysia’s computing landscape with over 2,000 partners gearing up to help the business community capitalize on the features and functionalities of Microsoft’s business productivity platform.
“Our business customers need PCs that help their businesses to be more efficient and productive. Our range of Windows Vista Capable and Windows Vista Premium Ready PCs are able to fulfill these needs with innovations in organizing and finding information, in addition to maintaining security and reliability,” said Danny Lee, Country General Manager, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd.
“This is an exciting time for the computing world. We have seen what Vista can offer and believe that it complements our vision to offer Malaysian businesses technology that allows them to do more in shorter time frames and with less effort. We have completed the Windows hardware quality lab training, and are ready to be among the first to provide Malaysia with a whole new computing experience,” Grace Vun, Vice President of Ftec Resources Berhad said.
Designed to be a new platform for productivity in the workplace, with Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft’s three cornerstone products work together to dramatically help people simplify how they collaborate, protect and manage content, find information and gain business insight, whilst reducing IT costs and increasing security.
Justin Tee, managing consultant of atQuest Solution said, “The 2007 Microsoft Office System is taking Information Workers Collaboration to the next stage! It simplifies the effort of collaboration by getting more out of the tools you use every day.”
Concurring, Ang Jee Meng, managing director of Alfacom Sdn Bhd said, “We are excited about the tremendous capabilities and value that Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 can bring to our customers who are looking for a consistent, extensible, integrated and powerful platform to host intranet and Internet web-based applications and content. Together with its tight integration with familiar Microsoft Office suite of applications, we believe our customers will have minimum user adoption and experience issues common to portal implementations.”
